Privacy matters to Refl. We aim to store only the information needed to provide account features, protect the service, manage links, and respond to support requests. This page explains the main categories of information that may be processed when you use Refl.
Account information
If you create a Refl account, information such as your email address, display name, authentication data, and account timestamps may be stored. These details are used to identify your account and provide access to your dashboard and saved features.
Links and information you submit
When you create a short link, save an internal title, build a link-in-bio profile, or submit other data to an account feature, that information is stored so the requested feature can work. Avoid placing unnecessary confidential information inside public URLs or labels.
Link analytics
For links with analytics enabled, Refl may store aggregated counts and the minimum technical information needed to maintain those counters. The purpose is link management and performance visibility rather than building personal profiles of visitors.
Contact and support messages
When you use the contact form, Refl may store your name, email address, message type, subject, message text, and any related URL you choose to provide. Administrators can keep a status and an internal follow-up note so requests can be handled consistently.
Sessions and local app settings
Cookies or local browser storage may be used to maintain a signed-in session and remember settings such as language, appearance, or installed-app behavior. Clearing browser data can reset those preferences.
Security
Refl uses standard measures for sessions, password storage, form protection, and application access. No internet service can promise absolute security, so strong account passwords and secure control of your email and device remain important.
Third-party destinations
Short links and articles may lead to third-party websites. Their privacy practices, security, and content are controlled by those services and should be reviewed independently.
Retention and questions
Information is retained while it is reasonably needed to provide a feature, maintain an account, respond to a request, protect the service, or meet applicable obligations. If you have a privacy question related to your account, use the contact form.
